What you get

A short Node script that starts an E2B sandbox (an isolated Linux machine in E2B's cloud), runs a line of Python inside it, prints the output, and lists the files in the sandbox root folder. This is the starting point for letting an AI agent run code it wrote somewhere other than your own computer or server.

Prerequisites

An E2B account. The quickstart says each new account gets $100 in credits.
An E2B API key in E2B_API_KEY. Get it from the E2B dashboard at https://console.e2b.dev/?tab=keys
Node.js. The published packages declare >=20.18.1 <21 || >=22.

Steps

Add your API key to a .env file in the project folder:
