What you get

A 5-second AI video clip generated by Runway's gen4.5 model from an image and a text prompt, returned as a download URL.

Prerequisites

A Runway Dev account at dev.runway.com with a project
Credits on that project (a $10 minimum purchase at $0.01 per credit; gen4.5 costs 12 credits per second)
An API key from the project's API Keys tab (it is shown only once)
Node.js 18+ (the script uses ES modules and top-level await)

Steps

Install the official SDK.

Shell

npm install --save @runwayml/sdk

Set your key. The SDK reads RUNWAYML_API_SECRET automatically.
